MMPRC Participates at Deluxe Travel Market Ukraine Edition

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) represented Maldives at Deluxe Travel Market Ukraine Edition, a virtual one-day event held on Tuesday with attendees from top agencies situated in the region; catering to VIP clientele, free independent travelers and business focused travelers.

The purpose of taking part in this event was to promote Maldives as safe haven for travelers amidst the coronavirus pandemic. This goal was achieved through individual online appointments with representatives of agencies in which most updated travel guidelines set in motion and tourism related news was disseminated to them.

Maldives has always held a strong market as a tourist destination in Russia. Statistics generated Maldives Immigration recorded the highest number of tourist arrivals from Russia since the travel restrictions were lifted in July, with a total number of 2065 tourists arriving from Russia up until September. Hence, a special focus was on marketing campaigns targeted to Russian tourists including of E-Learning Platform with Profi+Travel, advertising on 360 TV channel of Russia, combined campaigns with Travelata, Sletat.ru and Squizz.

Maldives is expecting additional increase of Russian tourists to the country as the national carrier and the largest airline belonging to Russia, Aeroflot resumed operations to Maldives this September. 

Activities conducted for other markets by MMPRC comprised of a global campaign with CNN, Integrated webinar sessions in China, campaign with FVW in German speaking markets, participating in SATTE GenX virtual exhibition.
