Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is the first and longest serving public company in the nation who have position themselves as the leading civil and marine constructor in the country. In this regard, today, they have provided a status update on the following harbor projects.
Design and Build of Harbor at Feevah in Shaviyani Atoll
With overall 80% of the project having been completed, the work which is presently being done is the installation of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction.
This project that is valued at MVR 67.6 million involves work on the dredging and excavation operations of 55,163cbm; the construction of a 464m quay wall; a 356m breakwater; a 182m revetment, installation of 2,320sqm of paved area, installation of navigation lights and streetlights.
Design and Build of Harbor at Miladhoo In Noonu Atoll
On 24th April, the second shipment of rock boulders required for breakwater construction was delivered to the project site.
This project that is valued at MVR. 42.1 million consists of dredging and excavation operations of 37,222cbm; construction of a 248m breakwater; a 137m revetment; a 286m quay wall; 1,430sqm of paved area; installation of navigation lights and streetlights.
