Mobilization Of Project Site At Dhaalu Meedhoo For Harbor Development Project

On Tuesday, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC), revealed that they have mobilized the project site at Dhaalu Meedhoo for their harbor development project which they were contracted for last year by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure – on a design and build basis.

Work under the project will involve 5,578 cubic metres of dredging, a 373-metre breakwater, 35-metre revetment, and a 294-metre quay wall. A ramp, interlocking pavements, 10 mooring blocks, navigational masts and 13 harbor lights – which is expected to be completed within 408 days. The project is valued at MVR 36.82 billion.

Physical work on the project is expected to commence soon following the mobilization of the project site.
