Maldives’ First Prototype Satellite To Be Used To Research Global Warming And Climate Change

Institute for Global Success (IGS), who launched the Maldives’ first space program last year revealed a saucy update that they gearing up to begin building the country’s first prototype satellite which will be used to research global warming and climate change.

Accordingly, IGS has signed an agreement with the KFS Space Foundation of the UK back in March, for the KFS Space Foundation of UK. Under this agreement, KFS Space Foundation will assist IGS in selecting a country from which the satellite shall be launched in addition to gaining the necessary authorizations to use the selected country’s airspace for the launch.

Speaking to local media outlets, Chairman and CEO of IGS, Mr. Riffath Mohamed, notes that the funding for the project has been secured as well – hence they are ready to build. In this regard, IGS will soon be making an announcement to recruit interested youths to take part in this mission. He further adds that the necessary training for those taking part will be provided and that the entire mission will be led by Maldivian youths.

Institute for Global Success (IGS) was formed in order to develop a new set of Maldivian leaders, engineers and scientists who are committed to reach their full potential and eventually, towards world-class success – and for sure, they are on the right path as we can see from the work done so far.
