At the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in the Maldives, Advocating Rights of Children (ARC), launched a special program to facilitate provision of basic food supplies to children and their families affected by the crisis – ARC AID.
As a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, Bank of Maldives Plc (BML) began their partnership with ARC AID in May, last year. Today, they have announced the addition donation of an MVR 100,000 for the program that will assist 150 children and 70 vulnerable families in the Male’ City during this Ramadan.
Food supplies which are covered under the ARC AID ranges from rice, flour, lentils, milk powder, tuna cans, eggs, assorted cans of vegetables and beans.
Last year, through financial assistance from the Bank, the ARC AID program was revealed to have extended to 587 children in 300 vulnerable families across 9 atolls in the country.
