Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is the first and longest serving public company in the nation who have position themselves as the leading civil and marine constructor in the country. In this capacity, the company continues to successfully undertake multiple projects simultaneously across all parts of the Maldives – even with the difficulties posed by the ongoing pandemic.
Whilst the construction giant has been on a roll this week by commencing physical works on multiple projects across several islands – just yesterday they have taken on additional three projects which was awarded to them by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure that is worth MVR 59 million.
Accordingly, the agreements pertaining to all the projects were signed during a special ceremony held yesterday. The details of the projects are as follows:
Implementing Channel And Maintenance Dredging At Haa Alifu Baarah
Project is worth MVR 12.17 million. Scope of work includes channel dredging operations of 79,100cbm; existing basin maintenance dredging of 8,600 and supply and installation of navigational aids that must be completed within 120 days.
Land Reclamation of Boat Beaching Area At Noonu Velidhoo
The scope of work for the project involves land reclamation operations of 3.48 hectares; levelling 138,247sqm of reclaimed area and construction of 255m revetment. While it is valued at MVR 18.25 million – the project must be completed within 280 days.
New Channel Dredging and Breakwater Construction At Noonu Manadhoo Harbor
This project is worth MVR 29.15 million. Work under this project will include dredging and excavation operations of 29,038cbm; a 290m breakwater construction; a 2m wide x 244m long concrete bridge; installation of navigational aids and supply and fixing of mooring buoys. The work must be completed within 300 days.
