Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is the first and longest serving public company in the nation who have position themselves as the leading civil and marine constructor in the country. In this capacity, the company continues to successfully undertake multiple projects simultaneously across all parts of the Maldives – even with the difficulties posed by the ongoing pandemic.
In line with this, the construction giant has today reported the completion of the project: Design and Build Harbor at Rakeedhoo in Vaavu Atoll. The project came officially came to conclusion on 30th March 2021.
This project was valued at MVR 18.5 million whereas it involved work pertaining to the dredging and excavation operations of 5,654cbm; boat beaching area dredging operations of 11306cbm; the construction of a 198m quay wall; the construction of a 156m breakwater; a 44m revetment, the installation of 594sqm of harbor pavements.
MTCC was contracted for this project by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
