UNFPA Makes A Generous Donation Of Teaching Mannequins And Models To IGMH Reproductive Health Centre

In a special ceremony held for the purpose today, the United Nations Populations Fund Maldives has donated teaching mannequins and models to India Gandhi Memorial Hospital’s Reproductive Health Centre. This was done so in line with the organization’s mission to continues to support the people in Maldives, to ensure delivery of a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled.

As per IGMH, the donated material will enhance the practical skills of their nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals as it will be effectively utilized in training programs held for them.

The United Nations Populations Fund formerly the United Nations Fund for Population Activities, is a United Nations agency aimed at improving reproductive and maternal health worldwide. UNFPA calls for the realization of reproductive rights for all and supports access to a wide range of sexual and reproductive health services – including voluntary family planning, maternal health care and comprehensive sexuality education
