MWSC Cuts Down MVR 225 From The Price Of Ice Being Sold At Its Dhuvaafaru Ice Plant

Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), hails with the good news today that they have decreased the price of ice per ton being sold at its Ice Plant at Raa Dhuvaafaru for local fisherman.

Whereby MVR 225 has been taken out of the price of ice per ton – the revised price stands at MVR 1050 as opposed to the previous figure of MVR 1275. The company notes that the pricing was revised under the company’s mission to supply salt flake ice for local fishermen at the lowest possible rate.

Customers can place their orders for salt flake ice on all working days between 8am to 10pm via customer service agents at Dhuvaafaru or by placing a call to MWCS’s hotline number 7999151. If a customer needs so, the ice flakes may be also delivered to the harbor area when requested.

In 2013, MWSC commenced ice flake manufacturing in Dhuvaafaru, with the objective of catering to the ice requirements of the local fishermen of the island and neighboring ones. The fisheries sector being a key strategic industry for the national economy, it is a privilege for the Company to have engaged in this industry, and contribute towards the development of the sector and the life of the local fishermen.
