MTCC Commences Physical Works On Two Additional Projects At Addu City Today

In addition to the commencement of physical works on the project to upgrade the old harbor at Hithadhoo by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) yesterday, the construction giants have commenced physicals work on two additional projects at Addu City during separate special ceremonies held on the occasion today. Accordingly, the two projects and its details are:

Coastal Protection Structure Project at Meedhoo in Addu City

Whilst physical work officially commenced on 25th March, the scope of work of this project will include the backfilling and bed preparation operations of 1,848cbm and the construction of a 210m geo bag revetment. The project is valued at MVR 5.80 million which is set to be completed in a period of 40 days.

MIFCO Harbor Development Project at Hulhumeedhoo in Addu City (Phase 1)

The scope of work on this project will include dredging and excavation operations of 471,380cbm; reclamation operations of 1,788cbm and construction of a 97m quay wall. It is valued at MVR 68.80 million

Both the projects were awarded to the company by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
