Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is the first and longest serving public company in the nation who have position themselves as the leading civil and marine constructor in the country. In this capacity, the company continues to successfully undertake multiple projects simultaneously across all parts of the Maldives – even with the difficulties posed by the ongoing pandemic.
Just this Tuesday, the construction giant had scored additional 5 projects. Today, they are pleased to undertake one more project: Upgrading the Old Harbor at Hithadhoo in Seenu Atoll. The project was awarded to them by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure – for which the agreement pertaining to it has been signed today. CEO of MTCC, Mr. Adam Azim signed on behalf of company whereas Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ms. Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed represented the Ministry.
This project is valued at MVR 52.43 million and must completed within a duration of 356 days. It will involve work on the dredging and excavation operations of 234,297 cbm; a 800m breakwater; a 284m quay wall; installation of 1,420sqm harbor pavement, harbor lights and navigational aids.
