Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is the first and longest serving public company in the nation who have position themselves as the leading civil and marine constructor in the country. In this capacity, the company undertakes multiple projects simultaneously across all parts of the Maldives – even amidst difficulties posed by a global pandemic.
Whilst they have proudly taken on 5 additional projects on Tuesday – on Wednesday, they have mobilized the project site at Alifu Alifu Maalhos for a harbor development project.
This project will involve work on dredging and excavation operation of 24,335 cbm; construction of a 394m quay wall; a 407m breakwater; a 56m groyne; a 100m revetment; installation of 1,970sqm harbor pavement and harbor lights. It is valued at MVR 56.97 and is scheduled to be completed in a duration of 360 days. The project was awarded to them by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
Physical work on the project is expected to commence soon with the mobilization of the project.
