Students To Be Allowed To Sit Edexcel A’ Level Examinations On October/November Instead of April

Following the unexpected decision taken by the organizers of Edexcel A’ Level Examinations to move up the examinations previously scheduled to be held during May/June to 26th April, the Ministry of Education has opened for students to withdraw their applications. In this regard, students who retract their applications will be given the chance to take part in the examination scheduled for October/November on behalf of their schools.

The Ministry however notes that Higher Secondary School (HSC) examinations that is scheduled to be held from 13th June to 17th June, will go on as planned.

In addition to this, the Ministry further adds that the April examinations will be taken into account when selecting students for the National Top Ten Awards and the Presidential High Achiever’s Scholarship. 

Students who want to retract their applications must inform the Department of Public Examinations through their schools before 12pm on 30th March.

According to the Ministry of Education, the changes to the schedule were made by Edexcel without any prior discussions with the Ministry or the Department of Public Examinations.
