Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is the first and longest serving public company in the nation who have position themselves as the leading civil and marine constructor in the country. In this capacity, the company continues to undertake multiple projects simultaneously across all parts of the Maldives – even with difficulties posed by the ongoing pandemic.
Just today, they are pleased to add one more to this grand portfolio with the commencement of physical works on the Reclamation and Shore Potection Project at the island of Dhiggaru in Meemu Atoll.
A grand event was held to mark the commencement which was graced by the CEO of the company, Mr. Adam Azim and Dhiggaru Constituency MP, Mr. Ikraam Hassan who were accompanied by senior members of the team MTCC.
This project was awarded to the construction giant by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure and is valued at MVR 121.84 million. It comprises of work on reclamation operations of 25 hectares; construction of a rock boulder revetment and breakwater.
MTCC made the highest profit from its marine construction projects in last year. In this regard, they completed a whopping number of 34 projects last year alone.
