In December last year, Bank of Maldives announced the loan facility ‘EIB COVID Relief’ in order to lend a hand to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) who were affected by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, BML has announced via a press release that the allocated fund limit has been reached and hence, the bank will not be accepting any more applications requesting for this particular loan facility.
A budget of EUR 20 million was granted to the Ministry of Finance for the loan facility, which was approved to be disbursed via the Bank of Maldives relief loan in June 2020.
