The First Maldivian Female to Attend the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Bags Prestigious Accolade

Officer Cadet Firshana Thaufeeq is the first Maldivian Female Cadet to attend the Commissioning Course at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. RMAS is an internationally recognized, world-leading military training academy where all officers in the British Army are trained to take on the responsibility of leading their soldiers. 

Training at the Academy is challenging but ultimately rewarding. Yesterday, The Ministry of Defence announced the heart-warming news of Officer Cadet Firshana Thaufeeq winning the title of Best International Student Award in the Commissioning Course at the prestigious academy. Her esteemed win has been showered with massive love from the Minister of Defence, Mariya Didi, Chief of Defence Force of MNDF, Major General Abdulla Shamaal, and by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih himself.  

Officer Cadet Firshana Thaufeeq has indeed smashed the previously underestimated capabilities of Maldivian women in progressing in any field of their choice with high standards and accomplish greater success than they are credited for. The course was designed to make an effective leader out of soldiers and master the core essentials upon graduation.
