Ooredoo Group Ups Their Game As The 40th Best Global Telecoms Brand!

As confirmed by this year’s edition of the Brand Finance Telecoms 150, Ooredoo Group is amongst the top 40 global telecommunications brands – upping their place from 41 in 2020! This is the fifth consecutive year the Group is featured amongst the top 50.

This annual ranking list produced by Brand Finance valuates telecommunications companies across the globe. Brands are first evaluated to determine their strength – taking into consideration factors such as marketing investment, familiarity, loyalty, staff satisfaction and corporate reputation – whereas this strength utilized to quantify its value by calculating the proportion of a business’s revenue that is contributed by the brand. The information derived from each process is then used to create rankings of the world’s most valuable telecoms brands.

Ooredoo Group has a brand value of more than USD 3.22 billion whereas their Brand Strength Index also improved over the year – reaching its highest ever figure – and the company maintained its brand rating of AA+ for the third consecutive year. The group has retained its predominance in the region by remaining in the top three most valuable brands in the Middle East.

Since their global brand roll-out in 2013, Brand Finance has closely monitored Ooredoo Group’s brand value. The Qatari-based telecommunications operator is now active in 10 markets across the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia.

In spite of the challenges posed by the COVID-10 global pandemic in the past year, the Group made significant investments across its operations during 2020 – including an ongoing complete digitalization program and substantial network upgrades.

Also evident in its effort to support communities and government in the united fight against the pandemic is Ooredoo Group’s commitment to complete customer satisfaction that also strengthened the overall brand value.
