Land Plots Up For Lease At Addu City Tourism Zones For Tourist Related Businesses

The City Council of Addu City has on 10th March announced that they will be leasing land plots from tourism zones in the cities: Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Feydhoo, Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo for those who engage in tourist-related businesses – each plot measuring differently and allocated for a different service.

Hithadhoo Tourism Zone

- A plot of land measuring 4000 square feet for a restaurant and entertainment center
- A plot of land measuring 3000 square feet for a spa

Maradhoo Tourism Zone

- Two plots of land measuring 2000 square feet for water sports and diving
- A plot of land measuring 3000 square feet for a restaurant
- A plot of land measuring 3000 square feet for a spa

Feydhoo Tourism Zone

- A plot of land measuring 2000 square feet for laundry service
- A plot of land measuring 1500 square feet for rental services
- A plot of land measuring 2000 square feet for a spa
- A plot of land measuring 8000 square feet for a restaurant and entertainment center
- A plot of land measuring 2000 square feet for water sports
- A plot of land measuring 2000 square feet for a souvenir shop

Hulhudhoo Tourism Zone

- A plot of land measuring 5000 square feet for a restaurant and entertainment center
- A plot of land measuring 2500 square feet for a shop
- A plot of land measuring 2500 square feet for rental services
- A plot of land measuring 4000 square feet for visitors’ center and souvenir shop
- A plot of land measuring 2500 square feet for a spa
- A plot of land measuring 2000 square feet for water sports

Meedhoo Tourism Zone

- A plot of land measuring 5000 square feet for a shop
- A plot of land measuring 1500 square feet for a laundry
- A plot of land measuring 1500 square feet for rentals
- A plot of land measuring 4000 square feet for a restaurant
- A plot of land measuring 2000 square feet for a spa

The City Council further details that these plots of land will be leased for a period of 20 years to carry out the allocated business.

Interested parties can purchase the bid document from Addu City Council for MVR 1000 starting from March 14th till March 25th. A pre-bidding session will be held on March 21st at Addu City Council to disclose further information.

Those bidding must submit their proposal in a sealed envelope to Addu City Council on April 11th at 1300 hours.
