Another Indian Company Contracted For The Construction Of 2000 Social Housing Units In Hulhumale’ City

On 8th March, the state-owned company – Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited (FDC) – has signed an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with JMC Projects (India) Limited for the development of 2000 social housing units in Hulhumale’ City Phase II.

The signing ceremony was held at the FDC head Office. Managing Director Ms. Safiyya Anwar signed on behalf of FDC whereas Assistant Vice President – Contract South India Operations, Mr. Karri Sudhakara Reddy signed on behalf of JMC Projects.

The project involves the construction of 1,400 three-room units of 900 square feet and 600 two-room units of 650 square feet. It is scheduled to be completed within three years and one month.
The project is valued at USD 137 million which shall be financed by a loan from the Export-Import Bank of India.

JMC Projects (India) Limited is a leading civil construction and infrastructure company from India with over 3 decades of experience in the field. JMC Projects CEO and Deputy Managing Director SK Tripathi has noted that the company’s international business has expanded its presence further with this project in the Maldives.

Prior to this, FDC has signed with another Indian company, NBCC (India) Limited for a similar project.
