Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is the first and longest-serving public company in the nation that has position itself as the leading civil and marine constructor in the country. In this capacity, the company undertakes multiple projects simultaneously across all parts of the Maldives ranging from harbor development, shore protection, road construction, airport construction etc. that calls for a large workforce. At present, 50 projects are underway whereas they are gearing up to commence additional 21 projects – with 11 of them targeted for next month.
Hence, the company has begun recruiting employees to work on these project sites. In this regard, they have announced over 250 jobs which is being allocated for locals – all which offers a minimum salary of MVR 10,000. The newly announces vacancies demand for heavy vehicle operators, welders, carpenters, masons, mechanics and engineers. Selected candidates will be given the required training as well. Walk-in interviews will be held between 4th March to 11th March.

At present, MTCC employs a total of 2183 persons whereas the majority of it are Maldivians. The company continues to reiterate its commitment to prioritizing locals when choosing employees.
