Waste Management Centers To Be Established In Six Islands Under The Maldives Clean Environment Project

Ministry of Finance has opened bid submissions for the establishment of waste management centers at six islands under the Maldives Clean Environment Project. Costing USD 17.50 million, this project is funded by the World Bank and being implemented by the Government of Maldives with an aim to improve solid waste management in selected zones.

The six islands belong to the Zone 4 & Zone 5. Work will be carried out in divided lots which are specified as below.

Lot 1: Waste Management Center at Mulah in Meemu Atoll and Burunee in Thaa Atoll

Lot 2: Waste Management Center at Madifushi in Thaa Atoll and Thimarafushi in Thaa Atoll

Lot 3: Waste Management Center at Kinbidhoo in Thaa Atoll and Omadhoo in Thaa Atoll

Interested proponents may make a bid submission for more than one lot. The bid security amount of all the lots are MVR 30,000.
