Bank of Maldives Plc (BML) actively works towards including the geographically separated islands of Maldives into one banking network. As part of this strategy, the Bank has opened an additional self-service banking ATM center in Guraidhoo in Kaafu Atoll. With this new addition, Kaafu Atoll presently has two branches, four self-service banking centers and cash agents in inhabited islands in addition to the banking services available in Male’ City.
The newly installed ATMs will be accessible for its customers on a 24/7 basis. BML reports that ATM will be equipped with the most updated security features ensuring safe and secure transactions for all customers. Individuals and businesses registered with the bank can fulfill their needs of cash withdrawals, cash deposits and cash transfers from this ATM.
Commenting on this, the Bank’s CEO and Managing Director, Mr. Tim Sawyer, notes that “Opening of this ATM centers in Guraidhoo demonstrates our commitment to expand access to convenient banking services in the atolls. This also marks another important step in our ongoing investment program to benefit individuals, businesses and communities across the country.”
Over the last year, the Bank has established self-service banking ATM centers across 9 islands in addition to upgrading ATMs with self-service banking facilities at 5 islands.
As the largest local bank in the country, BML boasts of a nationwide network of 35 branches across all 20 atolls, 66 Self Service Banking Centers, 127 ATMs, over 200 agents and a full suite of Digital Banking services.
