BML Makes A Generous Donation Of Education Tools To Aid Students Enrolled In SEN Classes At 10 Schools

Supporting persons with disabilities is one of the main focus areas of the Bank of Maldives (BML) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework.

Hence, on the occasion of the International Day of Education, the Bank has announced that they have donated education tools to aid students enrolled in Special Education Needs Classes in 10 schools. The names of the schools are as follows:

- Haa Alifu Atoll Education Centre
- Haa Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre
- Lhaviyani Atoll Education Centre
- Kaafu Atoll School                               
- Alifu Alifu Mathiveri School
- Alifu Alifu Fenfushi School
- Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre
- Laamu Atoll Education Centre
- Mohamed Jamaluddin School
- Seenu Atoll Education Centre

The Bank notes that the donated tools will be of help for more than 400 students to further harness their individual abilities in order to positively impact the learning and development in an inclusive environment.

Prior to this, as part of the same initiative, educations tools were donated to 10 islands last year to support students enrolled in Special Needs Classes. The Bank also donated 65 wheelchairs to enhance the lives of people with mobility impairments also last year.
