MTCC Mobilizes The Project Site At Dhuvaafaru In Raa Atoll Under Its Land Reclamation & Shore Protection Project

On 10th November 2020, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) was contracted by the Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure for a land reclamation and shore protection project at Dhuvaafaru in Raa Atoll. The Company reports that they have mobilized the project site at the island yesterday.

This project is valued at MVR 143.1 million that will consist of work in relation to the dredging and reclamation operations of 22.2 hectares; 423m rock boulder revetment construction and 70m breakwater construction. The Company expects to complete the work with a span of 445 days.

Apart from this project, MTCC has also undertaken multiple other projects in the island of Dhuvaafaru in Raa Atoll such as the major roads construction project and the futsal ground development project.
