Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc. (MTCC) announced their "Maa Bodah Ves Agu Heyo Vejje" sale via a press release of the Company today. The sale sees a significant decrease in the prices of marine engines limited to the brands Yamaha and Suzuki and resin limited to the brand; Scott Bader. The decrease in prices is owed to the exemption of duty on marine engines and other marine related products imported to the country by the government.
Under the new prices, Suzuki outboard engines can now be purchased for prices as low as MVR100,000 whereas Yamaha outboard engines can be purchases for prices as low as MVR700,000.
Further to this, MTCC has also decreased the amount of monies payable to the Company as down payment when purchasing marine engines on installment. This decision was made to decrease the financial burden on their customers arising by the COVID-19 pandemic from 40% to 20% and the installment can be paid in a division of 36 months. Details of the changes to prices of resin from Scott Bader can be inquired via phone call or by visiting ‘MTCC Kashavaru Showroom’.
