After a temporary cessation of operations to the Maldives due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline resumed flights to the island nation on 25th August 2020. At present, they conduct direct flights to Maldives just from Trivandrum. Although a few days back, Air India was pleased to announce that starting from 5th February onwards, the airline will be recommencing direct flights from Maldives to Bangalore and New Delhi as well.
