Are you wondering why we are going out of our way to talked about a company which is based in Malaysia? Well, here is your answer. The amazing team behind LottieFiles, largely consists of Maldivian nationals along with Co-founder and CTO Nattu Adnan. Moreover, they have recently reached one of their biggest break yet: being welcomed to the M12 portfolio - Microsoft’s venture capital arm - as the lead of their Series A funding round with participation from existing investors Adobe and 500 Startups. M12, Microsoft's venture fund, invests in enterprise software companies primarily in the Series A through C funding stages with a focus on applied AI, business applications, infrastructure, security, and vanguard technologies.
According to the team at Lottie, they will be using the acquired funds to advance the LottieFiles product roadmap, and to grow the global community.
LottieFiles have surpassed one million users from over 65,000 companies globally, including Google, TikTok, Disney, Uber, Airbnb, Netflix, and more. With growing demand for digital content and engagement in the midst of pandemic stay-at-home orders, and as the result of organic developer adoption, LottieFiles has seen 300% year-to-year growth. The majority of today’s most-downloaded apps now use the Lottie format, which is 600% smaller than traditional GIF files, for their motion graphics.
