The Ooredoo Maldives is also inviting the people to experience the Maldivian folklore in a fresh and interactive manner through its Ooredoo Calendar 2025. The calendar works by AI and provides one legendary figure per month and this month, one of the most famous heroines, Kulhlhavah Falu Ranin.
It is about a young girl, who was brought up in a Kulhlhavah Faa, and who draws the notice of a King visiting the place. Once she becomes his queen she slowly becomes disconnected to her origins, forgetting even what Kulhlhavah means. The King is furious of her increased pride and sends her back to the swamp where she is renamed Kulhlhavah Falu Ranin.
The digital experience of this month will give customers the chance to interact with her story with the help of the intelligent chatbot of Ooredoo and can be considered a novel offer to revisit one of the most well-known stories in the country.
The calendar, which was rolled out earlier this year, contains 12 folklore personalities including Foolhudhigu Handi and Safari Kaiydha. Every month, they launch a new AI-driven personality, providing the user with an opportunity to communicate directly with them and listen to their stories.
In this project, Ooredoo will keep contributing towards a Digital Maldives by leveraging technology to maintain the cultural heritage as well as bridge generations with the help of known stories.
