Dhiraagu has come out as Title Partner of the Dhivehi Premier League as a continuation of its long history of supporting football in the Maldives. The league is considered the most prestigious football event in the country and it gathers the competent clubs and the best players in the country to display their best skills and sense of community.
The 2025 to 2026 season, an event organised by the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), takes place between 18 September 2025 and 5 February 2026, in the National Football Stadium, Galolhu Rasmee Dhandu. They will compete using ten best clubs; Maziya Sports and Recreation, Club Valencia, Victory Sports Club, New Radiant Sports Club, United Victory, Club eagles, TC Sports Club, Buru Sports Club, Club Green Streets and Odi Sports Club.
Ali Riyaz, the Chief Commercial Officer in Dhiraagu, said that it is proud to sponsor the Dhivehi Premier League, which is the most reputable football competition in the Maldives. Football has been the most popular sport in the country and it has been very instrumental in uniting communities. We are also determined to assist the league in making the football scene in the Maldives better and contribute to the formation of the next generation of players.
FAM President Ahmed Thariq topped it by saying, in our quest to restore the spirit and excitement of Maldivian football, we are determined to build players and clubs, competitive platforms and fortify the game at all levels.
