Tree Top has wrapped up its latest health camp held at HA. Dhidhdhoo, where more than 330 patients received specialist care. The camp took place at HA. Atoll Hospital from August 15 to 16.
According to Tree Top, the purpose of the camp was to provide high-quality healthcare for residents of Dhidhdhoo, nearby islands, and individuals from surrounding resorts. A team of specialist doctors participated, offering consultations in cardiology, orthopedics, ENT, pulmonology, gynecology, and nutrition.
Patients also received certain medications and medical tests free of charge. Doctors involved in the camp highlighted the importance of taking healthcare services directly to island communities, noting that it eases the burden on residents who would otherwise need to travel to Malé for specialist treatment.
This was the third health camp organized by Tree Top this year, following similar programs in Th. Veymandhoo and Dh. Kudahuvadhoo earlier in April and May. Last year, health camps were conducted in GA. Vilingili, GDh. Thinadhoo, and L. Gan. In total, more than 3,500 patients have been treated through these initiatives.
Tree Top said these health camps are part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, with the goal of ensuring island residents have access to top-tier medical services without the costs and challenges of long-distance travel.
