New bus stops are being installed in Hulhumale Phase 2 ahead of residents moving into the 4,000 flats under the Gedhoruveriya housing scheme.
Housing Development Corporation stated that the stops are being added to make transport more accessible for the future residents of the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation flats. This area currently does not have any bus stops, as it is not yet occupied.
The government is now working on finalising agreements with the flat recipients. Once these are signed and the security deposit is paid, the apartments will be handed over. The deposit is set at 15,000 Maldivian Rufiyaa for two-bedroom apartments and 25,000 for three-bedroom units.
