DMGC opens with over 1500 gamers competing for top prizes

The Dhiraagu Maldives Gaming Conquest (DMGC) has officially kicked off, attracting more than 1,500 gamers to Ghiyassuddin International School. The event, which started yesterday and runs through tomorrow, features four competitive games and a prize pool of MVR 170,000.

Mirushan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, shared that DMGC aims to highlight local gaming talent while promoting responsible gaming. He also noted the event supports the growth of the Maldivian gaming community as part of Dhiraagu’s broader esports initiatives.

Alongside the main tournament, visitors can enjoy a racing simulator, VR zone, free-to-play stations, and classic board games. Stalls selling food, gaming gear, and merchandise add to the vibrant atmosphere.

DMGC stands as a milestone for the Dhiraagu Gamers Guild, pushing forward efforts to build a stronger, more sustainable gaming scene in the Maldives.
