Dhiraagu has signed on as the official digital partner for the first-ever Thoddoo Masters Table Tennis Tournament, marking a major milestone for the Maldives’ sports scene.
Set to take place in AA. Thoddoo from August 19th to 25th, the tournament is the first international Masters-level table tennis event in the country — and the first of its kind hosted in Thoddoo. Open to players aged 35 and above, it brings together over 130 athletes from more than 20 countries, including Germany, China, Spain, India, the UK, and the USA.
The tournament is jointly organized by Thoddoo Local Authority Company Ltd. (TLAC) and Ihaa Table Tennis Academy (ITTA). It aims to boost both the profile of table tennis in the Maldives and contribute to Thoddoo’s local economy and community development.
Dhiraagu’s Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, Mirshan Hassan, said the partnership reflects Dhiraagu’s ongoing support for community initiatives and sports development.
Thoddoo Council President Ahamed Karam thanked Dhiraagu for helping to raise national visibility and strengthen local tourism. Meanwhile, ITTA founder Ibrahim Latheef said the tournament showcases years of dedication to the sport and praised Dhiraagu’s support in delivering a professional and inspiring event.
With Dhiraagu’s digital backing, Thoddoo is ready to welcome the global table tennis community to its shores.
