The MET Office has issued a Yellow Alert from Raa Atoll to Alif Dhaalu Atoll, warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms. A White Alert is in effect from Gaafu Alif to Addu, where strong winds reaching up to 40 mph are forecast, and seas are expected to remain rough.
