Ahoy, The COVID-19 Vaccines Are On The Way To The Maldives & You Need To Register For It!

Today, Health Protection Agency (HPA), has revealed that they have opened registrations for COVID-19 vaccination in the Maldives under its COVID-19 Dhifaau Campaign. To do so, the Agency has created a portal for it; my.health.mv.

Vaccination is set to take place in phases based on the availability of the vaccine. Priority will be given to those who are most vulnerable to the effects of the disease, those working on the frontline and later to the general population. Accordingly, HPA notes that they would first be focusing on registering health care personnel in the Maldives.

The instructions on the portal stress to provide them with accurate information regarding where you live, how they can contact you and also details of your health status. They assure that high priority will be given to ensure that the information you give remains private and secure. Moreover, the information you provide will not be used for any other purpose or shared with any other agency without your consent. Registration will be complete once the information is verified. Once the registration is complete, you can register those under your care and guardianship to the same account under "dependents".

It is estimated that the Maldives will receive its first batch of vaccines on 26th January. Please kindly note that a registration and profile completion does not automatically entitle you to a COVID-19 vaccine. HPA will be reaching out to you once vaccinates are allocated for you.
