President Muizzu honours MNDF’s role in safeguarding independence

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu today praised the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) for its steadfast commitment to national security, as the nation marked MNDF’s 133rd anniversary.

In his address, the President expressed confidence in MNDF’s ability to adapt to geopolitical changes while continuing to safeguard the country’s peace and sovereignty. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by MNDF personnel in preserving the Maldives’ independence, often placing the nation above their own personal lives.

President Muizzu reiterated that the country’s progress and unity are deeply rooted in its continued independence—an achievement made possible through MNDF’s unwavering dedication and service.
