Yesterday, Clique College, has successfully concluded the Episode One of Skill Development Guest Lecture Series. The session which was conducted in adherence to the strict guidelines of Health Protection Agency (HPA), was a packed house. However, a blended learning approach was taken in conducting the session in which some students joined physically whilst the rest joined in online.
Episode One of the series surrounded the theme: marketing with the title “I will tell you what marketing is”. This session was led by Mr. Niushad Shareef, Marketing Manager at Allied Insurance Company Private Limited, focusing on the evolution of marketing and advertising in the Maldives. He spoke on the various marketing and advertising techniques used in the Maldives. The use of local examples effectively captured the interest of all participants of the session. Moreover, short videos were also presented to students using smartboard for further reference.
Also in attendance was Mr Neil Shorthouse, Founder & Chief Executive of Shorthouse Hospitality Limited.
According to Clique College, they have plans to conduct similar sessions every week, on Saturdays.
