For Twenty Lucky Students, IGMH Opens Applications For Fifth Intake Of Its Medical Internship Program

India Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) is a state-owned multi-specialty hospital operating in Male’ City. Via social media today, the Hospital has announced that applications have been opened from today on for the fifth intake of their Medical Internship Program which is set to commence on 17th March 2021. 

A medical internship program is done following the completion of an MBBS degree and is a prerequisite for the medical license by the Maldives Medical and Dental Association (MMDC). Students who successfully complete the program will be granted the license to practice medicine in the Maldives. 

This intake of the Medical Internship Program by IGMH will capacitate a total of 20 seats for which students shall be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply for the program, you can find the application from here; however, keep in mind that the following documents must also be submitted alongside this form. 

• MBBS Completion Certification from the Medical College/ University (Attested Copy) 
• Certificate of Provisional Medical Registration from MMDC (Attested Copy) 
• Police Clearance (Copy)
• National ID/Passport (Copy) 
• A Passport Sized Photograph

The application deadline is set to 28th February. Completed application form alongside the aforesaid documents must be submitted through email at medicalinternship@igmh.gov.mv.
