This Ramadan, Dhiraagu has introduced a meaningful donation feature on the DhiraaguApp, allowing customers to make a positive social impact. Dhiraagu has pledged MVR 150,000 to support children in state care and invites its customers to contribute towards this cause.
The funds will benefit children at Fiyavathi, Amaan Veshi, and Amaan Hiyaa, shelters operated under the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s Family and Children’s Service Centres. These shelters provide care to children across the Greater Malé region and the rest of the Maldives.
Customers can easily donate through the DhiraaguApp by choosing from preset amounts of MVR 10, MVR 50, MVR 100, or MVR 500. Prepaid customers can even use their remaining balance to make a contribution. Donations will support programs such as enhancing study rooms, improving play areas, skill development, and job readiness initiatives for youth aged 16 and above.
As part of Dhiraagu’s ongoing commitment to inclusion, the company has also ensured that all Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa shelters are equipped with high-speed internet to support the educational needs of the children.
The launch of this donation feature is a timely initiative for Ramadan, a time of giving, compassion, and community. It offers an opportunity to support children separated from their families while making a meaningful impact during the holy month.
