Ooredoo Maldives Enhances Hulhumalé Grand Mosque for Ramadan

Ooredoo Maldives, in collaboration with Qatar Charity, has re-inaugurated the Masjid Al Sheikh Qasim bin Al-Thani (Hulhumalé Grand Mosque) with a new, fully installed air conditioning system for the holy month of Ramadan.

The ceremony, which took place on February 27, 2025, was attended by key figures including CEO Assistant for Programs & Community Development Sector Mr. Faisal Rashid AlFehaida, Ooredoo Maldives CEO Mr. Khalid Al-Hamadi, Male’ City Mayor Mr. Adam Azim, and senior officials from the Housing Development Corporation and Ooredoo Maldives.

The mosque, which was originally built in 2006, now offers a much more comfortable environment for its 1,800 worshippers, thanks to the new air conditioning system. The mosque is surrounded by trees and features beautiful geometric designs inside, enhancing the overall spiritual experience for the community.
