Maldivian has launched flights to Cochin and Trivandrum, India, with its first wide-body aircraft, the A330. The inaugural A330 flight to Cochin International Airport arrived yesterday. Previously, these routes were operated by smaller aircraft, including the ATR 72 and Airbus A320.
The move to the A330 comes in response to increased demand, particularly from those traveling for medical treatment. Maldivian’s Managing Director, Ibrahim Iyas, confirmed that the A330 will continue to serve these routes to accommodate more passengers in the future.
