President Dr Mohamed Muizzu officially inaugurated the “Judicial Year 2025” at a ceremony held at the Islamic Centre. The event highlighted the judiciary's accomplishments over the past year and set new goals for the coming year. It also served as a platform for reflection and discussion among judges and judicial sector employees.
A key moment in the ceremony was the recognition of a long-serving judge for their honorable retirement. Uz Ahmed Muthasim Adnan, the Chief Justice of the Maldives, delivered the Judicial Statement.
For the past eight years, this annual event has been marked by special activities, except in 2021. This year’s "Judicial Symposium" will focus on Islamic financing and the reconciliation of judicial and administrative practices in the courts, aiming to improve the efficiency and functioning of the judicial system in the Maldives.
