Morocco Invites Maldives' Islamic Minister for Ramadan Lecture

The Government of Morocco has extended an invitation to the Maldives’ Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, to deliver a lecture during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. The invitation was presented by Mohamed Maliki, the Non-Resident Ambassador of Morocco to the Maldives, in a recent meeting with the Minister.

Every Ramadan, Morocco hosts the Hassani Lectures, a series chaired by King Mohammed VI. The lectures bring together leading scholars from around the world to discuss religious and intellectual topics, aiming to inspire the true spirit of Ramadan. Minister Shaheem was invited to participate in these esteemed discussions.

During the meeting, Minister Shaheem expressed his appreciation for the invitation and discussed potential religious cooperation between the Maldives and Morocco. The Minister also shared updates on the Maldives' efforts to train local Imams and explored the possibility of training opportunities in Morocco for local religious leaders.
