At the 6th Anniversary Gala and Fundraiser of Moms Aid, held at Villa College’s QI Campus, First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed emphasized the critical role of NGOs in addressing issues that state institutions cannot reach. Speaking at the event, she underlined that empowering such organizations should be a government priority to combat pressing societal challenges.
She particularly highlighted the significant impact NGOs have in empowering women, especially in addressing violence and other barriers they face. The ceremony also featured a video showcasing Moms Aid’s six years of work.
During the event, the "Fundraiser for Hope for Moms Campaign" was launched, and the organization introduced its "2025 Impact Partners." In recognition of their contributions, the First Lady presented commemorative plaques to five members of the Moms Aid team.
