Air India has launched daily direct flights from Mumbai and Delhi to the Maldives, eliminating layovers and reducing travel time. The Delhi-Malé flights take around four hours, while the Mumbai-Malé flights are just three hours long.
This new service is expected to increase both tourism and trade between India and the Maldives, as the holiday season approaches. India is one of the Maldives’ top tourism markets, currently ranking sixth with over 115,000 visitors this year. The direct flights will make travel more convenient for passengers, further strengthening the ties between the two countries.
