Dhiraagu has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the lives of children under state care by providing high-speed Fibre Broadband services to all Amaan Veshi (alternative care homes) and Amaan Hiyaa (temporary shelters) across the Maldives. These homes, managed by the Family and Children’s Service Centres (FCSCs), offer shelter to children without parental care, as well as victims of domestic abuse.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Dhiraagu will bring high-speed internet to FCSCs located in key regions such as B. Eydhafushi, Sh. Funadhoo, HA. Dhidhdhoo, and several others. This move aims to enhance digital literacy and support the educational needs of children in these care facilities.
The company has been consistently supporting state care centres over the years, including Kuda Kudhinge Hiyaa in Villimale’, as part of its broader focus on supporting children and young people. By collaborating with local NGOs and continuing to invest in such initiatives, Dhiraagu plays a vital role in empowering vulnerable children and promoting their well-being.
