Dhiraagu and Women in Tech Maldives recently completed the Girls to Code HA. Dhidhdhoo Edition, a two-month programme aimed at empowering young girls with coding skills. The initiative taught 20 participants, aged 10 to 13, coding languages like HTML, CSS, Flask, and Python, helping them create their own websites.
The programme focused on encouraging girls to explore opportunities in technology, with the goal of addressing the gender gap in the tech industry. This initiative is part of Dhiraagu’s broader commitment to inclusion and women’s empowerment through its CSR efforts, in collaboration with Women in Tech Maldives.
The Girls to Code HA. Dhidhdhoo Edition is the fifth in the series, following successful programmes in Fuvahmulah City, GDh. Thinadhoo, Kulhudhuffushi City, and Laamu Atoll. Both Dhiraagu and Women in Tech Maldives are dedicated to continuing similar initiatives that foster a more inclusive tech industry for future generations.
