HDC Set To Host For ‘Hulhumale Park Volley Championship 2021’ Under Domestic Violence Awareness Theme

Housing Development Corporation Limited (HDC) has yesterday announced that they have opened applications for ‘Hulhumale Park Volley Championship 2021’. The competition is scheduled to be held between 21st January and 23rd January at the Volleyball Court located in Hulhumale’ City Youth Park. It is targeted towards all persons interested and engaging in the sport, which is held under the theme; ‘Together We Can Prevent Domestic Violence!’, in promoting awareness regarding domestic violence. 

According to the announcement made by HDC, applications can be lodged both online and in-person at the reception of the HDC Building. You can find the online application form at this link. The deadline for submitting your applications is specified as 1500 hours on 14th January 2021. 

Before you lodge your applications, it is important to have a look at the comprehensive set of rules pre-set by HDC regarding the competition, which can be viewed here. One of the most important rules surrounding the competition is that it will be conducted under the ‘Official Park Volleyball Rules 2018-2019’; a guideline established by Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FVIB). Matches will consist of two sets, each for 21 points and a default third set upon a tie for 15 points.
