On October 28, 2024, Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) hosted 40 students from Ghiyassudin International School for an educational visit at its facilities at Velana International Airport. The students were given a firsthand look at the operations of TMA, the world's largest seaplane operator.
The tour included a visit to TMA’s Noovilu Seaplane Terminal, where the students participated in informative sessions led by TMA professionals. These sessions covered key areas such as Business Development, Human Resources, Safety & Security, Quality & Compliance, Aircraft Maintenance, and Flight Operations. The students gained valuable insights into the diverse functions of the aviation sector.
One of the highlights of the day was a Q&A session, where students engaged directly with TMA staff, learning about potential career paths in aviation and the qualifications required for various roles.
TMA’s educational initiative aims to inspire the next generation of Maldivians to pursue careers in aviation and tourism. By partnering with local schools, TMA is fostering youth development and helping students explore opportunities within these industries. Through such programs, TMA continues to support the growth of the Maldives' aviation and tourism sectors.
