Maldives and Gambia have engaged in meaningful discussions aimed at strengthening community connections and addressing essential public needs. The meeting took place between First Lady Sajidha Mohamed and Gambia’s First Lady, Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow, during the 11th Edition of the Merck Foundation Africa Asia Luminary Annual Conference.
The talks centered on shared interests and the role of the Merck Foundation in championing causes that benefit both African and Asian communities. Both leaders emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to tackle common challenges, particularly those affecting women. They noted that women around the world face similar issues, regardless of their nationality.
